Since its inception, the African American Parade Celebration has become a staple in the Shreveport community. Every year, our parade draws in over 150,000 visitors from all over the country who flock to the city to witness the vibrant displays of rich African American culture. The parade takes place in February every year and provides a fun-filled environment for families, friends, and visitors to come together and enjoy the colorful display of marching bands, dance troupes, and colorful floats.
